I have absolutely nothing to do now, so I went searching for some brain teasers.

Here are just some...(Please think before you look at the answers)

Qn 1.How can you tell the difference between a can of chicken soup and a can of tomato soup without tasting it?

Ans: Read the labels.

Qn 2.If you have 3 oranges and you take away 2, how many will you have left?

Ans: 3

Qn 3. A fifteen metres rope is tied to a horse.The horse is 25 metres from the hay stack. How can the horse get to the hay?

Ans: The other end of the rope is not tied to anything.

Qn 4.After teaching his class all about roman numbers,(X=10,IX=9 and so on)the teacher asked his class to draw a single continuous line and turn IX(9 in roman) into 6. the only stipulation the teacher made was that the pen could not be lifted from the paper until the line was complete.

Ans: Draw an 's' in front. It makes SIX. The roman number thing is just there to trick you.

Anyway, those are just a few brain teasers.I also spent my time writing songs and drawing, but they're no really good I guess.

Guess what? I have choir on 29 October, the day we are having chalet. Which reminds me,I haven't given Mabu the confirmation letter and my mum's NTUC card. We got about 50% discount. By the way, I'm getting a new laptop today!! It's a 81/2 inch one. The actual price is a thousand plus but my mum's company can allow us to buy it at a discounted rate. Plus I have a free version of microsoft office 2007. My mum's colleague won it for free and it can be used on 3 computers. This is so fun. I'm gonna love it. The laptop is black. Actually, I wanted white but my mum said that it would dirty easily, so... ...

For a very long time, I haven't been posting. Cause I was too lazy to...obviously. The only reason why I blog is cause I got some spare time and I don't know what to do. My life is turning upside down lately...and there's also EOY....so I'm quite busy,..not as in busy revising, cause I'm too lazy to revise. I can't keep still revising cause it's a little weird and I'll feel like revising.I mean sleeping... See? I'm too lazy too erase and now, I'm typing with only 1 hand with the science book on the table. I have a science book but I'm not revising...OK! I' know that I'm am crapping but OK..

Hey, its really late already. Cuz we had choir workshop from 9 to 5 and after that, I had dinner with Katherine and Claire and their mum. They juz flew to Singapore on Monday. They'll be here for two months until august, which means we can celebrate my birthday and Linda's. Yay!!! And Lynette and Linda and Aunty Sally came too. We'll be going Genting on Thursday night and they will be going on Friday morning. There's about 14 people in the coach. We're going to the Haunted House-which they say is very fun...-and go bowling. I 'm feeling a little tired now so I shall juz end here:)

Pumkin Garden

Bin Hai Du Jia Cun. This place is Sooooooo deserted. All the shops here have basically closed down and the free internet connection is bad. I can't watch shows on youtube and the computer has no Javascript. So I can only type type type. There in absolutely nothing to do here. What a letdown. But we went to the vegetable garden. It's NT70 per person. It's so fun. The owner has 300+ different kinds of pumkins in the garden. He also has honey dews. He gave a tip: One plant can only have one fruit. The rest will be thrown away. Then, we plucked cherry tomatoes and ate frozen strawberries with plum powder. yum. The strawberries were so delicious, we bought two packets back. Then he went to pluck the ripe pumkins. I saw a really unusual asterick shape pumkin and asked him if I could bring it home as a souvenier. He agreed after awhile. Its a really nice yellowish green. You can also carve out words on the pumkin and make it look like its grown naturally. The owner says that you just need to use a pen to write the words and the words will appear in two weeks. cool rite. Then, the owner sent us back to our hotel. There was a 7-11 near by, so I bought another tea egg.

Nothing else thats nice, so I shall just end off here.

Checking out of the homestay today.The breakfast is the same boring thing- egg, ham, hashbrown,cucumber and bread.Bored to death!!!!I don't know what to do except to find pleasure .in Natsuki Takaya's new book,BECAUSE YOU SMILE WHEN I SING.I met two Japanese students yesterday. But they're not really Japanese. They're just learning Japanese in Japan.Which means they know English. So, because we are in Taiwan, the owner doesn't know Japanese, only their parents(Japan ruled Taiwan during World War II. People were forced to learn Japanese.) And the students know not much Japanese plus the parent were not in, so I had to be their interpreter which was a little hard cause they keep on talking abont Kanji which I don't really know, but thanks to FURUBA(Fruits Basket) by Natsuki Takaya, I learnt a bit about Kanji. The owner also said something about Ding Tang Guo which looks like a bell. I don't know but he says its red outside , and white inside.

I'm here in Taiwan, Luodong. Havin' fun now.I'm currently on a homestay.It's quite quaint actually. Just now, I went to the cold sping in Su Ao. The water is frezzing cold!!!Brrrrrrrr........You can see bubbles coming from the ground. COOL!!!! Then we sat to Yilan main station for the street market. I ate quite a lot of things too. Yum.
I'm feeling so bored now, what should I do ???

Tired...weary...sleepy

Hey,

Today,I had choir the WHOLEday. From 1.30pm to almost 6.30pm.
1.30 to 4, we had sectionals,
4 to 6.30, we have choir.
7-9, I have tuition at Andrew Er

-Even though its the start of the school holidays, we have a lot of homework.
16 pieces actually.
Most of them are projects.
-Anyway, I juz upload 04's picture with Ms Quek.I miss her so much!!!!!She is such a wonderful teacher!!!!! :)
She said that she got into Cambridge University.(We'll of course, since she's such a brilliant teacher)



Anyway, for my grades,they are,

Class position:14/40
Level position: Very bad. 132/239

Even though my level position is not very good, but I got 14 for class position, which I have like, never gotten before. I'm always the last 10 for class position, but the top 10% for level position.
Now, its the opposite.
But never mind. At least I won Mabellyn- She got 20 for class position.

Today school ended at 11.15am.I got some videos about magicians-David Copperfield, Chriss Angel and Cyril Takaya-and I noticed that people broke Criss Angel and David Copperfield's illusion tricks,but non had broken any of Cyril's tricks, in fact I was dumbfounded.He did all his tricks openly,never used any cloth or anything to hide what he is doing,thats why not many people know his tricks ,or not yet.Recently, I've attracted more videos. Chinese caligraphy

Hiya,
Today,we had chinese caligraphy.The teacher was so scary. He was ok in terms of personality but his voice is so loud and scary. Brr..It gives me the chills.
Anyway, at choir, we voted for our new comm members and presidents.I voted for those that left me a deep impression:) Then we had this 'Fish feeding session' where our choir teacher Mr Yong will throw sweets at us and we must grab as much as we can.Yo.
Yar, I forgot to say, Ms Quek gave us a worksheet(competition between 101 and 104) and I checked the BESTA. With the help of some others, and of course, our English teacher, Mr Chow(Who helped us with three very difficult questions),we completed it in no time.

I'm in Samuel's(choir leader) team,group 10. Anyway,the Sec 1s and 3s scholars are split up into two groups and we have to think of a play that have songs dance and must be funny. we thought of handsome and the beast.Its really very lame. But anyway,its supposed to be funny. We will perform tomorrow.

In a land near Singapore. So near yet so far.. It shall not be named.There lived an ugly girl-shall also not be named-who had no boyfriends.People said that she loved to wave. One day,she saw a couple on the streets. She felt very very sad that she was so ugly,and went to see a matchmaker.(We will sing the song 'lonely' her. Lonely,I'm so lonely, i have nobody, all on my own.) The matchmaker took a look and gave her a potion."Drink this to look prettier."the matchmaker told her. She drank it immediately.

And turned into a beast."Do you have a mirror? i can't wait to see how i look now!!!" The matchmaker was stunned and looked at the bottle of potion. She looked at the mirror behind."WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME??!!!!?!?!?!?!?!!"The matchmaker gave a shrugg. 'oops?' The girl that shall not be named BELLOWED"GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!" The matchmaker said carefully, choosing his choice of word and replied in a timid voice."this is my house?" "ARGGH!!"
The beast stormed out of the shop.

The beast then decided to go for a facial-which obviously wouldn't work.There, she met a handsome guy and fell in love with him at first sight.But he was talking to the facialist(me)( now, characters freeze and people sing _i love you,you love me. we are happy family. with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you. will you say you love me too.)

Then, the handsome guy's-who you know-that shall not be named too- girlfriend was angry and jealous." I must give her this poison apple." she said. ________TINg!! cause alot of people want to konw hadsome's girlfriend name, her name is Sheston(you know the she gaston from beauty and the beast)________And went up to the beast. "I want to be your friend. you are so caring and... Pretty!!" she told her. The beast was touched" Thank you for being my friend! I am so touched!! Sheston then gave her the apple. it was too crunchy, too juicy-to be true but the beast changed backed into the ugly girl."Thank you!! what did you give me? i'm normal again!!!!" And Handsome fell in love with her instantly. As they skipped out happily,Sheston looked at the apple and asked herself.' why did she change back?' She then tooked a bite-and died.

Ouch!

My right hand hurts so much!! The muscles crammed. Ouch! it hurts when you move it. i suppose to rest my hand,but I'm hurting it even more. I played boxing on the Wii again. It was so...so...so... It was like saying 'play me...play me.....' Then I could not contain the temptation. now my hand hurts even more and I have Choir Camp tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just packed my bag for tomorrow. I'm so excited. i'm so busy all the time I don't feel I'm having a holiday at all.

The SRR is so cool!There's Wii and pool and table soccer!!! Gosh. I love the Wii. Its like a virtual world. I played boxing and bowling with my friend, Zhong Wei. Nice....... And the table soccer is so fun. I love being the middle one... Our team won almost every game. And then there's pool. I played with Aquila and Amelia and our teacher Ms Aisha. My aiming suddenly becomes so bad. I was so good at pool before and now?

I forgot how to hold the stick.

Wah. I've not done much work today. My father went to the computer fair and he bought us a new PRINTER. I must really comment on the seller's service. They would give you a free trolley if you buy heavy things so that it would be more convenient to bring around and so that people are more willing to buy the heavier things.



Today, I saw a bus ignore the traffic light and went through. That is just so dangerous as such that you should not jay walk. Ok, I'm starting to be a teacher already. I've only done my mathematics homework so far.

Hi.Sorry for writing so late. Gosh, I have so much homework. Almost every subject!!!Plus I have choir camp on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday so there won't be any post then for those three days. AND I have an Anne Frank project to do. Bummers. There is just so much work. Say wot??

Sorry for not posting yesterday.But nothing really happened yesterday actually. Yesterday, our science teacher told us to buy a drink during recess today. So, I bought a drink and went back to class, but was stopped by an SL(student leader).He said "That is pink dolphin right??"I told him that I needed it for science as we were learning solutions and susspensions. He then replied " I don't think so." We were like standing under the rain as I was taking the shortcut to my locker to take my science book. I got fed up and told him that he could have the bottle if he wanted to. Then I gave it to him and walked off. .

What kind of attitude is that?! I should have told him."You can ask my science teacher and if she says that I'm right, you say sorry to me and buy one Melizo ticket."

Wah!! There goes my $1. I bet every Secondary student would have told him that. Didn't he do the damn experiment on the universal indicator?? That is so STUPID!!

Gosh!! Time flies so fast! Its March already!!!Today, the sun is shining just the way I like it. Mum's inviting some friends for steamboat dinner at our house. And I bought the rubiks cube today.

I went to Compasspoint just now and went to comics connection to buy the rubiks cube. It was only SGD$10.90. But never mind,at least I saved SGD$1. So it okay. I saw a 4x4 rubiks cube at Action City today.My mum's friend said that her daughter can do it in 1 minute. Yar. I call that PRO. But yesterday, a boy in Choir can do it in 37 seconds. I call that EVEN MORE PRO!!!

Hey gurls,
Today is a Febuary 29,a day that only happens once every four years.You can never be to glad to have one extra day for Melizo IV. We are practicing really hard now,and I'm really very tired after tuition with Andrew Er.I didn't even feel like using my brains for doing the maths questions during lesson. Gosh, I'm just so tired, plus I have a lot of schoolwork to do. It's chinese. Did I mention that I'm really bad in Chinese. My classmate Lin Rui got 60/70 for her chinese composition. She is so PRO. And today, she presented in class for the oral presentation. We are supposed to write about our interest or our idol. Gosh. What topics should I write about???I really don't know.

My friend Jing Ying did a presentation on the rubiks cube today. I think its time that I got myself one...

She says that it costs about SGD$12.That is so ex.Gosh. I must really work hard to save for the rubiks cube... ...

Today I fell at P.E. while playing netball. I was trying to catch the ball when I lost my foothold and fell. My knee is hurting so much now!!!!!

Today,as I came home from school,taking bus 74,and as I was going down from the upper deck,I noticed a red plastic bag with some thing inside.I could vaguely make out what was inside it-a flat rectangular box. As it looked normal,I just thought it was left behind accidentally by some one.So,I just alighted without bothering about the bag. Till I got home, I got the shock of my life... ...

On the cover page of 'The Straits Times' newspaper, a JI chief had just escaped from the detention area. then it all flooded into my mind. What if that was a bomb. What was inside the bag??? Then I started to worry.

It all seems that people won't bother about things until it is really important. Well now, heed my advice. When you see any suspicious objects, call for help. Alert others.

E-learning day

Sorry for not posting yesterday.It was e-learning day yesterday,so we had to access our work through the internet.we had to print it out,but as I had no printer,I did it on foolscap.Science was the hardest as it was our first lesson on chemistry. We would study biology during the first part and biology in the latter part and lastly, chemistry

Wah...I miss my biology teacher,Mr Rodrigues.He was a really great teacher.Now, our biology teacher, Ms Quek,is only 18 years only and is only a temporary teacher to substitute our pregnant teacher.

Today for science, I learnt solutions and suspensions.Mr Rodrigues taught us a bit about it before so I knew about it.I wrote lots of notes today.For choir,every one said that I was very beautiful in my costume.My classmate Maybellyn said I look like a princess and not like going to the market at all.

Actually, I like the costumes for 'be our guest'.It was a really smart and I like it. For our musical piece,'Belle', we had to buy our own costumes.Who wats to come and support Xinmin Secondary school on 19 march at 7.30p.m. Tickets are priced at only SGD$15.All support needed. It's Monday already.Today, the class had a mathematics test from M.O.E.Only some classes are doing it...our class was selected.Its 3pm to 5pm. Two hours. When we were doing the test,the band was practicing downstairs,so I couldn't concentrate at all. I didn't do two questions.Wah!!!!!


I feel like telling them to stop playing and let us do the test. I didn't. It's agony.That's why mum told me those in band are a bit tone deaf. It was so loud. And thats on my right.

On my left,the workers from Xinmin Primary School was having construction. 'Cause I sat next to the window It was very loud.I bet the testers from M.O.E. must be thinking was type of good learning environment is that. In fact, it isn't.

Hmm, maybe our school needs to improve on this area...

Hey,
My fav comic collection Fruits Basket or Furuba has just ended. This is why people say that all good things must come to an end someday.I cried while reading the book aware that the same story must have touched others too. Sometimes,I wonder why the author has such creativity and thinking different from others.

Fruits Basket is not just any ordinary comic. It is about teenage romance, love,emotions and humour.You can cry all through a book. It is just so wonderful.The way she expresses each character's thoughts makes me full of awe and admiration... ...

But still,everything must come to an end, like Harry Potter(Not that i actually read it though.Never touched it. Not once.Only picked up the last book to take a look.)and the world.

When then sun burns out, it the end of the world.For the Earth, at least... ...What's gonna happen is still unsure.

What would do do if tomorrow is the end of the Earth?

I just wrote an essay for the Commonwealth Competition at British Council. I saw clips on BBC about millions and millions of fish being thrown away because there were excess fishes caught. The sight of it disgust me. And the Al Lino has caused millions of fishes dying in the ocean.Fishes are tiny creatures. Slight changes could not be felt by us but could be a large change of temperature to the fishes.

Its bored being in the house the whole day. What can I do besides watching television? Sometimes, I wish that I have a sibling so I won't be so lonely sometimes... ... Mum's having dinner at her friend's wedding, so it leaves me to dad. He's taking care of the plants,so iI have the house to myself. I just made some dessert. Home made choc ice-cream(Made by me,of course!)with some Hershey good night kisses powder and Meiji melted chocolate. yum...

What should I do now??? Ha ha.. I'm starting to be like Disney's Phineas and Ferb.I love Isabel and her 'What 'cha doin' accent.LOL...

Introduction to my life

Hiya,
My name's Valerie. I'm in Secondary One this year.I'm studying in Xinmin Secondary School.I'm in the school Chorale. You can find out more on http://youtube.com/watch?v=-Ydx5HeFHbU We are having a musical on March 19.I really look forward to it as everyone has put in a lot of effort.

During all this time,I search the net to find out more about it.The kiddish show that was etched in my mind disappeared and the more I found out, the more curious I grew about it.Although the songs were written long ago, it contained a lot of meaning.And i was really glad to be able to perform the opening song,Belle. The next lesson, as we sang the choir theme song,'As long as I have music,'I could feel that the person who wrote the song had a lot of passion for music. I'm in Soprano,the highest key for girls.

The fourth lesson, I learnt how to use support(using the stomach to sing). It was quite easy as our primary school teacher had taught us that before.

During this four weeks,I had enjoyed myself in choir,but i can't say so much about sports.....

We learnt badminton for five weeks.As I always have a phobia that the ball would hit me,i would either duck or run away from the ball. That is why I have never been good at ball games.I mean, I'm good at running and I either get Gold or Silver at my physical test but I just have this fear of balls and I'm bad at catching too.But I'm trying to change and I made some improvements. i can now hit a few shots or give a gallant pose after a great shot. Well, I have to study for my geography test on wednesday. I got the top marks for science with a score of 25/30.Bad news-I failed my chinese test with a terrible score of 22/50... ...But after reading fruits basket starting of last year, I decided to adobt Tohru's never say die attitude. i love Fruits basket comics.
